It does not inspect your property and cannot determine the actual cause, safety status, repair method or final price of a project.
Not a contractor, engineer or inspector
RepairCostMatch is not a home-improvement contractor, structural engineer, building inspector, architect or other licensed construction professional. Information on the site is not a substitute for an on-site evaluation when one is appropriate.
Cost ranges are not quotes
Any displayed dollar range is an educational planning estimate based on broad project categories. Actual prices vary by location, material, access, soil, structure, damage severity, permits, engineering, labor, contractor scope and other factors. A contractor or other qualified professional must provide the actual estimate or quote.
Quote checker limitations
The “Is this quote fair?” tool compares an amount you enter against RepairCostMatch's broad planning benchmark for the selected repair category and severity. It does not verify whether a contractor's diagnosis, scope, price, license, warranty or workmanship is correct. A quote below the planning band may omit important work, and a quote above it may include legitimate additional scope. The current version does not apply a ZIP-level local market multiplier.
No guarantee of contractor coverage or price
If contractor matching is enabled later, RepairCostMatch may work with a limited partner network and cannot promise that every local contractor, every repair option or the lowest available price is included.
Urgent conditions
If you believe a structure may be unsafe, movement is rapid, utilities are affected, flooding is active or another immediate hazard exists, do not rely on this site to determine urgency. Contact an appropriate local professional or emergency service.
Partner relationships
